Remember the Alamo?

Day 7 -- After our Mexican dinner, Phil and Sherrie drove us downtown to see the Alamo at night. It was beautiful. The next day, we were able to go inside and experience this historic building.

Day 8 -- We were very respectful when inside the Alamo.

Day 8 -- We were so excited to see this huge Prickly Pear bush inside the Alamo. We had no idea we would see it everywhere in the American Southwest for the next 2 weeks.

Day 8 -- This is a monument to all of the men who died in the infamous stand-off.

Day 8 -- It was pretty cool to walk around such an historic place as the Alamo. It is a pretty good size (the biggest of all the Missions) and the grounds were set up as a museum, so we learned a lot about the history of the building and the famous men who fought and died there.

Hi Tiff!!!

I remember those Prickly Pears from Arizona. I heard they are 'weeds' out there, and people actually make food from them. Prettier weed than out here! :) Have fun!!!
