Headed South

Day 7 -- After walking around SoCo, we jumped in the car and drove a few hours south to San Antonio Texas. There, we stayed with our friends Sherrie and Phil. Sherrie and I have been friends for many years (12 I think) and prior to moving to Texas a year ago, she was our neighbor for a while. Sherrie and Adam have a lot in common. Before moving, she worked as a substitute teacher in search of a full time teaching position and now that she is in Texas, she is working as a librarian. So, she and Adam always have either teacher or librarian stories to swap.

Phil is a San Antonio native and even though we had only met him briefly last summer when he came to Sherrie's going away party in Columbus, he graciously opened his home to us for a few days. Thanks Phil! Phil also has a chocolate lab named Hazel...but I didn't get any pictures of her :(

Sherrie and Phil took us out to a fantastic Mexican dinner on our first night in town and gave us suggestions as to how to spend our day in their city.
