In the Glen

Day 15 -- These are a few snapshots from our smooth water rafting tour on the Colorado River. The last picture was taken near Lee's Ferry, where we docked. The picture shows where the Glen Canyon ends and where the Grand Canyon begins. Our guide took us down the river to the opening of the Grand Canyon. We couldn't go very far into it because the white water rapids begin almost immediately. But technically, we were in there. So, that puts us in the 5% minority of Grand Canyon visitors who actually travel off the rim. More that 5 million people visit the Grand Canyon each year.
